It is a mammal adapted to temperate open country. It is related to the similarly appearing rabbit. Which is in the same family but a different genus. It breeds on the ground rather than in a burrow and relies on speed to escape. Normally shy animals, due that they lives a largely solitary lifestyle. Over all hares change their behavior in spring, when they can be seen in broad daylight chasing one another around meadows. During this spring frenzy, hares can be seen “boxing”. This is where hares strike one another with their paws. For a long time it had been thought that this was inter-male competition, but closer observation has revealed that it is usually a female hitting a male, either to show that she is not yet quite ready to mate or as a test of his determination. It is mostly nocturnal and crepuscular and forages between 7:00 p. And 7:00 a. During daytime, a hare will crouch in a depression called a “form” and are partially hidden with its back showing. Hares are capable of running in speeds of up to 35 mph in a straight line. When running form the predators, the hare can dodge and change direction quickly. They will even dive into streams and can swim. Little evidence shows that hares stay within a restricted home range. Predators of the hare include the red fox, wolf, coyote, wild cats and birds of prey. Although they are usually quiet, hares will make low grunts and females will make “guttural” calls to her young. They emit a shrill call when caught or hurt. This is a perfect gift to give around spring time and Easter. This sculpture was cast using the “Lost Wax Method” and has a two tone brown patina and is mounted on a black marble base and signed by artist Nick. Medium Hare Moon Gazing Bronze Foundry Cast Sculpture By Michael Simpson 1013

Medium Hare Moon Gazing Bronze Foundry Cast Sculpture By Michael Simpson 1013

Medium Hare Moon Gazing Bronze Foundry Cast Sculpture By Michael Simpson 1013
Limited Edition Numbered Piece 14/150. Medium Hare Moon Gazing (1013) Sculpture cast in solid bronze by Michael Simpson. This piece is a traditional foundry solid bronze sculpture, and not the cheap cold cast resin which some mistaken sellers call bronze. Crafted using the “lost wax” hot cast method, a highly skilled process used for over 3500 years, and completed with a beautiful patina finish, these techniques guarantee that no two items will ever be identical. Michael Simpson is an unusual sculptor in that his body of work spans a variety of different subjects. He enjoys working on several sculpts at the same time, moving from one to the next as inspiration dictates. Michael has the unique ability to design extremely accurately and yet with loose contemporary feel, making his style easily recognised and much appreciated by collectors. Richard Cooper & Company work with UK sculptors and designers to create stunning and unique foundry bronze sculptures. Products range from the flamboyant figurative work of Landanski, through to the detailed wildlife studies of Michael Simpson. The foundry cast bronzes are produced using the lost wax method and sealed with a protective wax, preserving and enhancing the rich layers of patina applied to the surface. Each bronze is decorated and finished either using traditional patinas or by hand painting with acrylics and enamels. Most pieces are limited edition from 50 to a maximum of 150 depending on the piece. This ensures that the work will retain a value that will not be diluted by over-production and makes this item suitable as either a gift or an investment opportunity. We will always leave feedback once we know our customer is happy and feedback has been left for us. We have been established for over 50 years, and are one of the largest Jewellers in the UK. Five generations of the family have worked in the business. Our managerial and full-time staff have considerable experience and pass on their in-depth advice and knowledge to our customers. Small Hare Boxing Solid Bronze Foundry Cast Sculpture by Michael Simpson (1118)
Small Hare Boxing (1118). Limited Edition Numbered Piece From 250 Produced. Sculpture cast in solid bronze by Michael Simpson. This hare is made in solid foundry bronze using the ancient method of lost wax casting. It is finished by the art of patination where various acids are applied to the surface of the bronze and heat applied to create a deep rich brown patina. The bronze is then sealed with a special wax which further enhances the colour and protects the bronze for years to come. It is beautifully presented in a printed box containing a signed certificate of authenticity. The bronze is engraved with the sculptor’s signature and limited edition number, matching the certificate enclosed. Bronze Sculpture, Hand Made Statue Animal Vienna Austrian Bunny Rabbit Hare Sale. This sculpture is in perfect condition. Bron This adorable sculpture shows the relationship between parent and child. Even animals have the natural instinct to love and nature their children. Here you see a mother rabbit hold her baby bunny as she rocks him back and forth to sleep. The baby bunny is so small in comparison to his mother. The mother stands on her back legs and cradles him in both arms. The baby bunny is in the sweet sanctuary of his mother’s arms and falls asleep wearing a slight smile. This is a beautiful and touching sculpture and makes great for décor around spring time or Easter. This sculpture was cast using the “Lost Wax Method” and is mounted on a marble base. This sculpture is signed by Milo. World famous sculptor Milo is the artistic partner of the Lynn Forbes School of Sculpture-and is offering an exclusive signature in the wax of every piece of his items, which are Custom Cast with European Bronze Finery. In effect it makes EACH SCULPTURE an ORIGINAL since each one is different than the next (similar to a Limited Edition). Again, Milo-our partner-IS THE ORIGINAL SCULPTOR of this incredible work of art. Milo was born in Paris in 1939; Milo lived most of his childhood in Andalusia, Spain. Influenced by an artistic family background, he began sculpting at the age of seventeen. After apprenticing with several accomplished sculptors both in America and Spain, he began his own work focusing equally on steel and bronze. Horses and other animals were a natural direction of his work to follow. Surrounded by horses as a child and witnessing the fighting bulls of Spain gave him an instinct for the inherent drama of these animals. Combining a special cement mixture with steel has allowed him the fluidity of metal with the timelessness of stone. This process enables him to capture the essence of the animal’s nature. The characteristic rough texture and movement of line make Milo work easily identifiable in both cement and bronze. Virgin Islands, however, an additional charge may be required.
