24“ China Fengshui Copper Tortoise Turtle Bronze Statue Hand Made. This sculpture is in perfect condition. Bronze Dimensions with Marble Base: Height 24″ x Width 12″. Marble Dimensions: diameter 9. Height without base: 23. This is a marvelous statue full of movement. It is of three turtles journeying through the ocean and swimming upward. The smaller one seems to be more anxious to reach the surface as he leads in front of the other turtles. The largest turtle is in the middle and a medium sized one is underneath it and slightly behind the rest. Their shells are detailed in a way that resembles a real shell in its colors and textures as it is a polished light bronze patina, with appropriate pattern work engraved. A beautiful bronze turquoise colored patina covers the rest of this piece, from the base, a flow of water moving upwards representing a current on which the turtles swim up. It gives the impression of life, forward movement and travel. This bronze sculpture was cast using the “Lost Wax Method” and has a two toned with green Patina. It is signed by the artist Marius.
