It is a vase but has a bas relief of nude women on the sides as well as climbing vines. One Woman holds on to the top of the vase and wears and is relaxed as the vines climb over her and cover her. Her hair is fanned out and falls all around her. She is nude and her body is thick. On the other side a woman who looks grief stricken cups her breasts and points upwards. The textured style of the vase gives this vase a rustic feel. This sculpture has great detail and portrays a simple beauty. This sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method and has a two tone brown patina. This sculpture is signed by George Flamand, Best noted for his bronze sculptures, Flamand, a French traditional fine artist and sculptor turned his masterful talents towards the design and creation of jewelry incorporating precious metals and gems to that of the more exotic materials used during the famous Art Nouveau movement of the late 19th and early 20th century.
