Antique Collectible Bronze Gild Cloisonne Confucius Statue Figurine Wooden base
Antique figurine of Confucius, made in cloisonne enamel technique, with imitation ivory inlays, with gilded details, on a wooden stand inlaid with bronze wire. The patterns and ornaments that adorn the clothes and the wooden base are made with great skill and jewelry detail. The clothes are decorated with wire details soldered to the bronze statue in the form of stylized clouds, flowers, leaves and Yin-Yang symbols. After that, the master applies colored enamel between the bronze cells with a brush and sends it to the oven so that the enamel melts and bakes. And so many times, layer by layer, until the enamel completely fills the space between the wire borders. After that, the surface is carefully polished, achieving a perfectly even, smooth surface. This complex process requires great skill, experience and many hours of painstaking work. Products made using the cloisonne technique are not affected by time, are not afraid of moisture, and do not fade in the sun. The head and hands of Confucius are made of a material resembling carved painted ivory. This figurine was created around the 1950-60s, and it has been perfectly preserved. There are no significant damage or chips. Only one end of the decorative cord made of twisted wire was soldered off on the back, literally 2-3 millimeters. Figurine height with stand – 7 ¾.
