The bronze sculptures unique composition, seems as if the entirety of the body is slowly being taken, particle by particle, like dust in the wind. The beholder sees the final stages of this creative erosion before it is cleaned away to obscurity; giving us one more of him look before he is taken back to the ages of times past. The Native American warrior is seen from his right side. His eyes focus on the travel of his arrow just shot like a hawk it’s prey. His right hand, pulled back from the release, is attached to his chest. His full left arm extends out in front of him, firmly holding onto his bow, as the body of it runs downward anchoring the sculpture to the base. The sculpture was captured using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a Green patina finish for perpetuation. As the lonely cute Sparrow stands on one leg, he looks around attentively for someone to save him. Nbsp; Its almost as if his one foot is stuck in the cement and he curls his other leg up to avoid it from getting stuck in the cement as well. Scientists may beg to differ following the theory that birds stand on one leg to conserve body heat amp; energy. The reason for this is that the legs and the head are the only part of the body that is exposed. But if you look closely at this Sparrow the left foot is blended into the block not showing any detail of the claws. While looking at the right leg and the foot the claws are curled and pulled toward his chest. Nbsp; The Sculpture is coated with a dark brown patina amp; highlights of gold. The gold highlights give dimension to the sparrow and draw attention to the detail of the feathers in the tail and the beak. This bronze piece was crafted using the Lost Wax Method it is signed by. Nero reigned from 54 to 68 AD focusing much of his attention on diplomacy, trade and the cultural life of the empire. He ordered the building of theatres and promoting athletic games. He even made public appearances as an actor, poet, musician and charioteer. In the eyes of traditionalists, this undermined the dignity and authority of his persona and office. During his reign, various plots against his life were revealed and surpress. Nero’s rule is usually associated with tyranny and extravagance.
