This piece is a traditional foundry solid bronze sculpture, and not the cheap cold cast resin which some mistaken sellers call bronze. Crafted using the “lost wax” hot cast method, a highly skilled process used for over 3500 years, and completed with a beautiful patina finish, these techniques guarantee that no two items will ever be identical. Michael Simpson is an unusual sculptor in that his body of work spans a variety of different subjects. He enjoys working on several sculpts at the same time, moving from one to the next as inspiration dictates. Michael has the unique ability to design extremely accurately and yet with loose contemporary feel, making his style easily recognised and much appreciated by collectors. Richard Cooper & Company work with UK sculptors and designers to create stunning and unique foundry bronze sculptures. Brave and alert, the Scottie is hardy and lovable. They are charming and full of character. Playful and friendly as a puppy, he matures into a dignified adult. His bushy eyes brows almost cover his eyes, but in the right angle you can see the detail a beauty in them. Two curtains of hair part at his nose, exposing his mouth and snout.
