The powerful centaur comes barreling out of the realm of Greek mythology wielding a sword and shield of snakes in hand. His powerful hooves beat down on the ground as a yell of defiance rips through his human chest and mouth. His mane-like hair is adorned with feathers that fall out as he cuts through wind. This half-human and half-animal composition creates a fierce dualism in presence showing this wild, untamed spirit. The handmade bronze sculpture was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for conservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the European Bronze Finery stamp of quality and the artist Giovanni Bologna’s signature. Virgin Islands, however, an additional charge may be required.
